Job Description
We are recruiting for Security Guards for our Vicksburg location. The Security Guard's role is to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees & visitors by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. Security guards help to prevent loss and damage by reporting irregularities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure only authorized personnel are on the property.
- Record and maintain visitor log.
- Assist vendors with check in procedures and direct them to the right location.
- Record and maintain all deliveries and sales are checked, verified, and recorded.
- Enforce farming policies regarding Health & Safety controls.
- Periodically check as required my management; vehicles leaving the site for unauthorized removal of company property.
- Patrols assigned area on foot, checking for fires, vandalism, suspicious activity or persons, safety/fire hazards and reports circumstances to campus police unit for correction or follow-up actions.
- Check’s doors and windows of building to ensure they are tightly closed and locked; notes in written log any unlocked doors/windows; submits information to supervisor.
- Observes activity and traffic in assigned area to enforce rules/regulations, alerts visitors of infractions.
- Assists any persons in building or grounds needing direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience as a Security Guard or relevant position preferred but not required
- Great listening, communication, and verbal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to work flexible hours and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working under pressure.
- Capable of working under all weather conditions.
- Display positive and professional attitude toward peers and leadership team.
- Ability to work with a team and independently with minimum supervision.
- Time management and ability to prioritize task given.
- Willingness to learn about new items and procedures quickly.
Physical Requirements:
* Lift up to 50lbs, job requires extensive pushing, pulling, walking, lifting, repetitive movements.

Pay Rate Range - $14.70 - $15.75/Hr
