Pay Range: $25.00-$27.00 Hourly
Length of Assignment: 1 year - possibility to extend based on project need/performance.

Job Responsibilities:
- Background investigations on candidates for employment and contractors seeking access to company facilities.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and legal requirements for the collection of individual background information.
- Interviews individuals within and outside the company regarding a candidate's character and reputation.
- Provides consultation regarding suitability for employment or access to company facilities.
- Maintains databases to support security programs and manage access control systems.
- Analyzes individual applications and reports, ensuring all information provided is accurate, complete, and truthful
- Demonstrated ability to work with various software applications including SAP and MS Office
- Knowledge and experience dealing with specific issues associated with providing security at an energy company and critical infrastructure protection.
Preferred Years of Experience:
- 2 years of hands-on experience handling background checks and sensitive information as a security specialist

- What is the preferred candidate location (local, non-local, remote?) and is there flexibility? Candidate must be local or able to drive in to Richmond, VA
- Will this candidate be dealing with Private Personal Information (PPI), Company Sensitive Information, or Credit Sensitive Information? Yes

Preferred Interview Process Overview (High level): Pay Range: $25.00 - $27.00 Hourly on W2
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
