SAP Basis Administration (Basis) with SAP Public Cloud Experience - Part-Time, Remote Contract Position

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator with expertise in SAP Public Cloud to provide remote production support for a global organization.
Position Details:

• Part-time, contract position
• 100% remote work, must be based in North America

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade SAP systems, including SAP Public Cloud , S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Solution Manager, and other related components.
• Perform system administration tasks, such as user management, client administration, and system monitoring, within SAP Public Cloud and on-premise environments.
• Monitor system performance, conduct tuning activities, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal system performance and reliability in SAP Public Cloud .
• Implement and maintain SAP security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in cloud environments.
• Resolve technical issues related to SAP systems, databases, and infrastructure, with a focus on cloud-specific challenges .
• Collaborate with functional teams to support SAP application enhancements, upgrades, and projects, ensuring compatibility with SAP Public Cloud .
• Manage SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and coordinate transports across cloud and on-premise landscapes.
• Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery tests, including cloud backup solutions, to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Stay updated on the latest SAP Public Cloud technologies and best practices to continuously enhance system performance and reliability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration within complex, enterprise-level environments, including SAP Public Cloud .
• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and administering SAP systems, including SAP Public Cloud, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, etc.
• Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver architecture and SAP Public Cloud components.
• Experience with SAP upgrades, patches, and system refresh activities, including in cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of SAP security concepts and best practices for cloud infrastructure .
• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA database administration, ideally in SAP Public Cloud environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially within cloud systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• SAP Basis certification is a plus.
