The world has discovered that delicious, dairy-free drink alternatives exist. But nobody has bridged this gap in the cream liqueur category. Dottie May’s Oatmilk Cream Liqueur is here change that, pioneering a new era in the spirits industry. Made from oat milk and American Whiskey, Dottie May’s is the market’s first vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, and nut-free cream liqueur.

 

Dottie’s launched in Austin with Favorite Brands last November, and we are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Manager to join our Texas team. This person will work with our Texas Sales Director to help open accounts, manage account relationships, and act as the local ambassador for Dottie May’s in TX, particularly Austin. While the initial focus is on hiring for Dottie May’s, there is potential for the role to grow and include other brands within the No Sleep Beverage portfolio.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated Sales Manager to drive sales and awareness for Dottie May's Oatmilk Cream Liqueur in Texas, particularly Austin.

 

This person will be responsible for opening new accounts, securing placements, and ensuring our product's visibility and appeal in the market, including through consumer engagements such as tastings and events. The role will cover both the on-premise and off-premise and will include a range of account-facing and consumer-facing responsibilities.

 

The candidate must be based in/around Austin as this role will require significant time in the field meeting with on- and off-premise accounts in and around Austin. Occasional travel to other Texas markets may be required.

When not in the field, this position is remote.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Overall:

  • Coordinate with Sales Director, Marketing, and CEO to execute selling strategies
  • Track and report on performance, with a data-oriented mindset
  • Help create, deploy, and monitor effective selling tools in the market
  • Engage with consumers and be the face of the brand
  • Other duties as needed

 

Account Development and Support:

  • Identify and secure new on-premise and off-premise accounts with a focus on strategic growth to expand Dottie May's presence primarily in the Austin market and occasionally in other Texas Metro Areas
  • Nurture relationships with key accounts across the on- and off-premise and train staff to enhance product knowledge, ensuring long term partnership and advocacy
  • Win menu placements and create specialty cocktails featuring Dottie May's Oatmilk Cream Liqueur in key on-premise locations
  • Execute sales programs and initiatives to maximize brand visibility and growth within designated accounts
  • Maintain a strong field presence, actively engaging with Favorite Brands’ field teams to support their initiatives, identify opportunities, and drive collaborative growth strategies

 

Point of Sale (POS) Management:

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop locally relevant POS strategies and analyze the impact of POS initiatives on sales performance
  • Oversee and ensure effective merchandising, shelf placement and use of POS materials at key accounts

 

Brand Ambassadorship:

  • Serve as the face of the brand, engaging with customers and industry professionals
  • Participate in industry events and consumer activations to promote brand awareness and trial
  • Train and educate bartenders, retail staff and consumers on product features and benefits to increase advocacy

 

Sampling Support:

  • Organize and conduct tastings to introduce and promote Dottie May's to potential customers
  • Work closely with sampling agencies to ensure effective execution of product sampling
  • Analyze data and feedback to optimize future sampling strategies

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in beverage alcohol sales with at least 2 years working in the Austin area
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
  • Experience leading product sampling programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to generate excitement for a product among consumers and retailers
  • Capable of working independently, self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a passion for driving sales and brand growth
  • Familiarity with tracking and reporting on performance of efforts in the market
  • Knowledge of the Texas beverage alcohol market and its unique dynamics
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and regular access to a vehicle

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • $60,000-85,000 base salary, depending on experience.
  • KPI-based bonuses will be awarded contingent on company and individual performance in the market
  • T&E budget to support selling activities
  • Please note that while we do not currently offer a Company-sponsored health insurance plan, we provide a monthly stipend to help offset healthcare-related costs - this stipend can be used at the employee’s discretion to support their health and wellness needs.
