Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. This role is crucial in maintaining patient safety, enhancing care standards, and fostering a supportive environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

* Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
* Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring effective communication among healthcare team members.
* Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.
* Conduct staff training sessions on best practices, infection control, and sterile processing techniques.
* Manage scheduling and staffing needs to maintain optimal nurse-to-patient ratios.
* Oversee documentation practices, ensuring accurate coding with ICD-10 standards.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients.
* Provide direct patient care as needed, including procedures such as spinal taps and assessments related to primary care.
* Address any concerns related to dementia care and implement appropriate interventions.

Skills

* Proficient knowledge of anatomy and infection control protocols.
* Experience in sonography and durable medical equipment (DME) management is preferred.
* Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead nursing staff effectively.
* Familiarity with sterile processing techniques to ensure safety in patient care environments.
* Ability to conduct assessments related to dementia care, providing compassionate support for patients and families.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
