Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer._ **Responsibilities** Provide direct nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period. + Follow aseptic sterile technique according to Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses / American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nurses (AORN/ASPAN) standards. + Evaluate patient's responses to treatments and interventions. + Manage patient's pain. + Anticipate case-specific needs based on knowledge of procedure(s) performed and pathophysiology. **Requirements** Licensure / Certification / Registration: + Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: + Graduate of a Registered Nursing program required. Work Experience: + One year of experience as a Staff Registered Nurse is required. + Previous experience in a critical care or PACU setting is preferred. **Additional Preferences** The ideal candidate will have PACU or equivalent critical care experience along with a minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience. This person will also cross-train with the PACU.
