About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Area Facilities Manager to oversee the operational performance and maintenance of multiple commercial properties in the New York City area. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering best-in-class workplace solutions.

As an Area Facilities Manager , you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-performing environment across a portfolio of sites, managing vendor relationships, driving sustainability initiatives, and enhancing overall facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and performance to maintain high service levels.
  • Lead and develop an on-site facilities team, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure financial efficiency across the portfolio.
  • Drive proactive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize asset longevity.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to align facility operations with business objectives.
  • Implement and oversee sustainability initiatives and energy management programs.
  • Ensure timely response to service requests and resolve issues efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 5+ years in facilities management, building operations, or related field.
  • Leadership: Strong team management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets, contracts, and cost controls.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle complex challenges and provide effective solutions.
  • Certifications (Preferred): CFM, FMP, LEED, or similar industry certifications.
