Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Analyst - Advanced to ensure the integrity, quality, and compliance of the new systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert with deep domain knowledge in Medicaid operations and the ability to work effectively in a complex, transformative environment.

Key Responsibilities (Daily Duties)

  • Test Design & Execution: Create detailed test cases and scenarios by translating complex business requirements or policy documentation into actionable test steps.
  • Requirements Traceability: Ensure full traceability from requirements documentation through test cases, execution, and defect management.
  • Test Management: Build and manage test cases and scenarios within formal test design tools such as Azure DevOps or Atlassian JIRA and Confluence .
  • Defect Management: Identify, analyze, log, and retest defects using established governance standards, communicating and publishing status reports on all open issues and gaps to development teams.
  • Methodology: Work across both traditional SDLC (Waterfall) and Agile delivery methodologies .
  • Governance: Adhere to established software testing governance policies, best practices, and guidelines, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Reporting: Create and publish required testing artifacts, reports, and status updates for management.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios.
  • 5+ years building test cases and scenarios into test systems.
  • 3+ years deep knowledge of healthcare operations , preferably Medicaid , and related business processes.
  • 3+ years direct hands-on experience with formal test design tools; proficient in use of manual or automated testing tools such as Azure DevOps or Atlassian JIRA and Confluence .
  • Experience working in both a standard SDLC (waterfall methodology) and in an A.G.I.L.E. delivery model .
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, healthcare or related field (Years of experience can substitute for formal education).

Preferred Skills

  • Enterprise Experience: 5+ years large enterprise or e-business systems experience.
  • Certification: Technical and/or Project Management certifications from recognized sources are desirable.
