Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management, and a strong understanding accounting. You'll be responsible for managing the financial performance of assigned properties and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of properties
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely processing of invoices and rent payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
  • Track capital expenditures and assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Collaborate with property managers to support operational needs and reporting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience; real estate or property accounting strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or AppFolio) is a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
