Job Description

Join Bonitz, a 100% employee-owned leader in specialty commercial contracting since 1954. We design and install custom flooring, ceilings, and walls, driven by our mission to positively impact lives. We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Specialist in Charleston, SC to provide key administrative and logistical support to our project teams. This role is crucial for the smooth execution of commercial projects from inception to completion and offers a unique opportunity to share in the company's success through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Position Overview:

  • Serve as the operational hub for projects, managing documentation flow (prequalification, handoffs, submittals, contracts, change orders).
  • Utilize our ERP system for project setup, material purchasing (POs, ETAs), and tracking.
  • Facilitate communication between Project Managers, vendors, and clients.
  • Support project billing, subcontractor/vendor administration, and close-out processes.
  • Contribute to general office administration and team coordination.

Position Essentials:

  • 2+ years of experience in a project support or business administration role; construction industry background is a strong asset.
  • Essential: Proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 experience is beneficial).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and a deadline-driven mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (Spanish bilingual a plus).
  • A collaborative spirit and proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to pass standard pre-employment screenings.
  • Ability to work onsite. This is an in-person role.
