Project Manager – Ground-Up Mid/High-Rise Construction

About the Company

Our client is a leading general contractor in South Florida, recognized for delivering high-quality multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial projects. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the full project lifecycle of mid- to high-rise ground-up developments in the West Palm Beach area.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires a strong leader who can coordinate field and office operations, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of ground-up construction projects (planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout).
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, ensuring quality and schedule adherence.
  • Collaborate closely with the Superintendent and field teams to maintain project momentum and resolve challenges proactively.
  • Oversee project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
  • Monitor project budgets and forecasts to ensure profitability and financial accuracy.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the client and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive safety, quality, and efficiency across all project activities.
  • Lead weekly owner, subcontractor, and internal coordination meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 8+ years of commercial or multifamily construction experience, with at least 3 years as a Project Manager .
  • Proven success delivering mid- to high-rise ground-up projects (10–30 stories).
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction means, methods, and building codes.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
