About Swiftlane

Swiftlane is a fast growing, VC funded, access control startup based out of San Francisco. Swiftlane provides modern touchless access control such as face recognition door access, mobile access and integrated video intercom systems. 

Job Overview

We are looking for a Project Manager to plan, organize and control project management activities for electronic security installation projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will work closely on deployment of Swiftlane’s access control technology, and you have 3+ years of prior experience in project management within the tech industry. A plus if in the security industry. You will manage projects, involving third party integrators, subcontractors. You will oversee site visits, quoting, and installation lifecycles. The Project Manager will maintain and grow relationships with subcontractors and customers, while at the same time tracking project status. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Collaborate with internal teams
  • Build relationships with subcontractors and security integrator partners
  • Communication - keep partners, subordinates and executives informed on the status of projects
  • Coordinate site visits with customers through partners and in house teams
  • Maintain job plans and specifications
  • PM projects from site visit to installation completion
  • Produce accurate estimates of material, labor costs for repairs, and installation
  • Strong Negotiation skills with partners, security integrators & subcontractors
  • Coordinate procurement and fulfillment of hardware
  • Prepare and send accurate repair and installation estimates and provide supporting documentation to subcontractors or customers
  • Plan and schedule installation and sub contracting activities
  • Maintain work orders and documentation for each project
  • Maintain installation schedules across large number of projects
  • Monitor execution of local and remote projects all over the US
  • Control job costs and ensure profitability
  • Ensure customers are getting quality service from subcontractors.
  • Close out projects with the proper invoice, pictures, etc for each project. 
  • Professional behavior that presents themselves and the company in a positive light

Great to have:

  • Prior field-based installation or project management experience is a plus
  • Experience estimating for commercial and multifamily security installation projects

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or college degree
  • 3-5 years Project Management with a tech company
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong Time Management
  • Strong project management skills (at a security company is a plus)
  • Prior experience as a low voltage security installer is a plus
  • Strong engineering fundamentals with low voltage electronics, access control systems, video surveillance and intrusion detection systems is a plus
