Job Description

  • Receives and enters all Purchase Orders from customer into system(s). Orders may be received by the system portal, fax, mail, verbally or EDI.
  • Schedules production work orders to comply with customer delivery in an accurate and timely manner into system database(s).
  • Creates work orders as needed, per customer demands.
  • Ensures that work order due dates are aligned and prioritized to match customer demand, based on accurate due dates for on time delivery, raw material availability as schedules are created.
  • Notifies purchasing staff when materials are needed, based on customer demand.
  • Works with others to schedule production orders.
  • Perform cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy necessary to release work orders to floor.
  • Purchas components to support the production schedule as needed.
  • Confirm parts on hand for machine shop travelers and assist in securing material for the appropriate location on the floor.

  • Must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
  • Must be proficient in general business software such as MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • ERP experience desired but not required.

To perform the job successfully, an individual will be able to use:

  • Basic office equipment, such as calculator, copy machine, fax machine.
  • Computers and printers.
  • General business office equipment and systems as required.
  • Forklift

There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position, however answering questions, giving instruction or providing help to assist co-workers, or other employees perform their tasks may be required.

  • Forklift certification
