Job Location: Chandler, AZ (3 days onsite & 2 days remote)
The core set of technical skills that are beneficial in the role are:
- Operating systems: Solaris, Linux, Windows
- Scripting languages: Unix Shell, Perl, Python, SQL (Intermediate level: multi-table joins, grouping results, etc...)
- Grid computing and batch management
- Strong knowledge of the Hadoop Framework
- Well rounded understanding of infrastructure disciplines (network, server, storage, messaging)
• Prior experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer
• Day to day task requires the ability to solve production down situations under tight SLA deadlines. Root cause and problem resolution follow-up.
• L2 Application Production support experience
• Prior experience in the Financial Industry, specifically supporting a trading desk
• Working knowledge of application monitoring
• Prior experience with incident management in a support function role
• Understanding of Service Level Agreements and Management
• Demonstrated inter-office communications.
• Experience in Job scheduling tools like Autosys
• Experience in the Hadoop Framework
• Experience in monitoring tools like ITRS Geneous, Splunk
• Prior working knowledge of developing/writing/debugging : Java, Perl, Python, Linux/Unix shell and SQL
• Familiar with Tibco/FIX Messaging systems
• 2nd shift role from 2pm - 10pm EST
• Available to work an oncall rotation
