Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a Production Scheduler at their Orlando FL facility.

This manufacturer offers application tooling to the aircraft and aerospace industries - lots of work with Defense Contractors. Compensation: $80,000-100,000

What You Will Do:

Work closely with production planners to coordinate priorities and maximize asset availability within a complex machine shop to include 8(+) distinct resource groups. This role will primarily focus on taking released orders and ensuring that they are synchronized in the right order within available time horizons while utilizing an APS scheduling model.

Will play a critical role in operationalizing the production plan and communicating the schedule to various organization leaders. Maintains reports and data analysis related to the performance and adherence to released schedules.

  • Use the ERP system to create and maintain schedules for the production floor that prosecute opportunities to maximize asset efficiency, balance customer needs, and are aligned with organizational goals; continuously adapt scheduling rules within the ERP system to improve asset throughput as opportunities arise.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Planning to prioritize production runs based on urgency and customer deadlines; participate in daily lean management meetings to share information, record issues, and drive resolution related to scheduling activities.
  • Analyze resource availability, material requirements and capacity constraints to level load production.
  • Communicate schedule changes to relevant departments and personnel; ensure the Planning Manager is adequately informed of weekly schedule adherence.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Manage and monitor the proper scheduling of shifts on resource groups within the ERP system, noting shift exceptions when necessary to ensure alignment with production planning functions.
  • Maintain and update documentation in accordance with ISO9001/AS9100 and the DMC QMS.

Education and Work Experience:

  • At least 4 years of US Military experience required
  • 2-3 years of Planning/Scheduling experience in a Manufacturing/Machining/Assembly environment required.
  • Strong understanding of production planning principles, supply chain concepts, and inventory management required
  • Experience in ERP systems (i.e. Infor Suite, SAP, Oracle, etc.) required
