Job Title: Design System Designer

Contract Length: End date 6/30 with potential for extension

Location: Hybrid 1-2x a week out of NYC. 10010

Must-Have Skills: Emphasis on interactive design, prototyping, motion/animation, and creating visually compelling UI experiences.

• MUST BE: familiar with variables in Figma as they will be helping to stand up Figma libraries of brand variables.
• Figma (Prototyping & High-Fidelity Design) – Proficiency in Figma for interactive prototypes, UI animation, and high-fidelity UI components.
• 2-4 years of experience in visual design, with a portfolio showcasing visually engaging designs.
• Experience with design systems-creating, maintaining or working within them.
• Experience with transitions, animation, motion design, and dynamic interactions.
• A keen eye for aesthetics, typography, and attention to detail.
• Must come from an enterprise client

Overview:

We're looking for a creative and visually-driven Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for designing and building elegant experiences, from concept creation to detailed design specifications. This position requires a strong understanding of visual and motion design, including best practices for layout, hierarchy, typography, and illustration. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype, iterate, and deliver design solutions that resonate with users and align with our brand goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate strong conceptual thinking and a deep understanding of e-commerce.
• Design visually compelling user interfaces that adhere to and expand our evolving multibrand design system.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to deliver consistent, scalable design solutions.
• Establish and maintain clear documentation and design guidelines to support consistency across teams.
• Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to enhance the team’s creativity.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience in visual design, with a portfolio showcasing visually engaging designs.
• Proficiency in Figma is a must; additional experience with other design tools is a plus.
• Experience with design systems-creating, maintaining or working within them.
• Experience with transitions, animation, motion design, and dynamic interactions.
• A keen eye for aesthetics, typography, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
