Jones Networking is recruiting for a Procurement Manager to join a food manufacturing facility in San Antonio, TX. Key responsibilities include; leading the procurement team, procuring raw and perishable materials, managing stock levels and maintaining supplier relationships. Procurement Manager Position Summary:
-Identify the organization's purchasing needs
-Research, select and purchase quality products and materials
-Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate the best prices, quantities and delivery timescales
-Process requisitions and update management on the status of orders
-Update inventory and manage stock levels
-Arrange the transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery
-Understand the target market and analyze trends in order to make informed buying decisions
-Coordinate activities with the inventory team, management and stockroom
-Monitor the stock quality and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management
-Manage relationships with suppliers
-Lead, develop and supervise the procurement team
Qualifications Summary:
-Bachelor's Degree in related field
-Minimum 3 years experience sourcing for raw materials
-Experence in the protein industry (Beef, chicken, pork or specialty meat) preferred
-Strong supply chain experience necessary with an emphasis on inventory management in a related industry
-Experience negotiating prices, terms, and contracts with vendors and suppliers
-Strong leadership skills with prior supervisory experience
-Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
