Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with hands-on experience in integrating data from Snowflake, building intuitive dashboards, and delivering actionable insights. This role requires expertise in Power BI report development, as well as a strong understanding of Snowflake as a cloud-based data warehouse. The Power BI Developer will work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into impactful visualizations and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Power BI Report Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations that help stakeholders make data-driven decisions.
• Work with business analysts and end users to understand requirements and deliver reporting solutions that address business needs.
• Implement advanced Power BI features, including DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals to enhance the reporting experience.
  • Data Integration and Modeling:
• Work with Snowflake data warehouse to create and manage data models that power Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for seamless data integration from Snowflake to Power BI.
• Write efficient and optimized SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and transform data from Snowflake to Power BI.
  • Performance Optimization:
• Optimize Power BI report performance, ensuring that large datasets from Snowflake are handled efficiently and queries run quickly.
• Use best practices to improve Power BI report and dashboard load times while maintaining accuracy.

Must Have Skills:

Proven 5- 10 years of experience as a Power BI Developer with a strong portfolio of built reports, dashboards, and visualizations.

Proficient in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals.

Hands-on experience working with Snowflake data warehouse, including integration, data modeling, and SQL querying.

Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, etc.) and the ability to design scalable data models.

Knowledge of ETL tool and reporting in general

Hands on experience with Oracle, PL/SQL

Conceptual understanding of embedding reports in portal environment

Experience with large-scale data visualization, managing performance issues, and implementing best practices for BI reports.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot data or report issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Snowflake-specific features, such as Snowflake data sharing, Snowpipe, or Snowflake Streams.

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP in relation to Snowflake.

Knowledge of Power BI governance, security settings, and user access management.

Hands on python skills are nice to have

Familiarity with other BI tools or data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
