Title: Plant Manager - Packaging/Plastics
Location: Melvern, PA - Relocation Assistance Available
Salary: $130,000-$170,000/Year + Bonus/Benefits
Requirements: 15+ Years of Plant Manager and Operational Experience in a High Speed Facility. Experience with extrusion, coatings, slitting, printing and converting materials will be a must for this role. What You Will Be Doing
- Engaging the hearts and minds of all employees in achieving a zero-injury mindset.
- Reducing injuries and safety risks through leading indicator behaviors: engagement, training, robust programs, support, coaching, and accountability.

- Establishing/maintaining a cohesive and effective plant leadership team.
- Providing strategic leadership and coaching to engage all colleagues in a shared vision for the operation and company.

- Overseeing the development, execution, and sustainability of continuous improvement programs which foster full employee engagement and drive improvement in safety, quality, cost control, and productivity.
- Support the global quality strategy and ensure on-going success with ISO9001 certification.
- Engaging in the Integrated Business Planning process to align plant assets and resources with the commercial demand plan.
- Maintaining a keen focus on customer satisfaction with respect to service and product quality.
- Engaging with global peers, through the functional Centers of Excellence (CoE), to raise professional standards and to share and adopt better practices.
- Developing, maintaining, and executing against, a robust Implementation Pipeline of projects to support corporate strategy, reduce manufacturing costs, and drive EBITDA.
- Managing the plant capital expenditure plan, in collaboration with the corporate engineering group and the global engineering Center of Excellence.
- Leading quick, effective, respectful change to firmly align the plant with company strategies of margin enhancement and growth.
- Occasional travel (10%)
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor's degree, engineering strongly preferred
- 15+ years' manufacturing experience, required
- Demonstrated success with creating and sustaining an injury-free workplace
- A clear history of success in leading and managing people and processes in a manufacturing facility
- Experience working with & participating in negotiating with a unionized workforce
- Demonstrated success with formal continuous improvement strategies and programs
- Experience in planning and managing business financial performance (site budget, cost and capital expenditure reporting including performance to financial targets, and capital expenditure requests)
- Knowledge of plastics manufacturing, blown film extrusion, extrusion coating, silicone coating, slitting, printing, and converting processes preferred
