We are seeking a Certified Physician Assistant to join our team. This role offers a well-rounded blend of urgent care, clinical, and surgical responsibilities, providing a dynamic and rewarding career opportunity.

Responsibilities -

  • Performs orthopedic screening and evaluation
  • Assembles appropriate diagnostic tests for physician review
  • Prescribes medications
  • Educates patient and performs treatment as directed by physician
  • Provides acute and chronic patient care including taking histories, giving injections and medications, performing sterile procedures, aspirations, pin removals and suturing, assisting in positioning patients for x-rays, and applying/removing casts, splints, orthotics and dressings
  • Assists with surgical procedures by preparing and positioning patient for surgery, assisting in set-up of room, acting as 1st or 2nd assistant during procedure, reviewing consent forms and notes to ensure correct procedure
  • Round on post-operative patients
  • Is on-call with a physician on a rotating schedule
  • Complies with clinic policies and procedures on regular work attendance

Qualifications:

  • Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a valid state license.
  • BLS and CPR certification required
  • Previous experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to assist in surgery and perform orthopedic procedures confidently.

Preferred Skills -

  • 1+ years' experience in working as a Physician Assistant is preferred
  • Surgical experience is preferred including experience with joint replacement surgeries
