Job Description

Responsibilities

The physical therapist is responsible for providing competent evaluation and treatment to outpatients and/or inpatients in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. JCAHO standards and the APTA code of ethics. The Physical Therapist will provide intervention to individuals who experience a loss of and/or a deficiency in functional independence related to chronic, traumatic or developmental illness, impairment and/or disability. Interventions are developed with the patient and their family and/or significant other(s) as partners in the rehabilitative process.

Job Information:

This position will be for a full time Physical Therapist for our outpatient therapy center with a wide variety of diagnoses seen and treated. This facility is a satellite office to Manatee Memorial Hospital Outpatient Therapy department. The facility provides services to adults, offers PT/OT/ST services and is open M-F 7 AM through 6 PM. This specific position is looking for a therapist to be able to cover the later shift hours options could be 9:30-6pm or 4 /10 hours days. Growing specialty services include: Parkinson’s program, Prehab and rehab for breast cancer patients, pelvic health in conjunction with Occupational Therapy, Lymphedema care. General program of neurological PT services, orthopedic injury/surgery recovery; sports injury and return to play.

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science from an accredited school.

Current Florida license or license eligible.

None required for acute adult setting

Prefer one year of experience for outpatient positions

BLS (or obtained within 90 days of employment).
