Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in Bradenton , FL. This opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture using straight needles and butterfly needles.
  • Collect, label, and store specimens following established procedures.
  • Properly explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process (e.g., blood, urine, fecal) to patients.
  • Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes to ensure accuracy.
  • Process specimens by labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing as required.
  • Package specimens for transport while maintaining proper storage conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations.
  • Maintain and update patient information as needed.
  • Record maintenance data and handle decontamination procedures.
  • Answer phone inquiries and provide laboratory results when necessary.
  • Attend annual departmental training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Phlebotomy Certification (as required by state).
  • Minimum of 6 months experience performing venipunctures in a high-paced lab or hospital setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite .
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
