Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 3x12 Days

Position Overview:

Pride Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team in Baltimore, Maryland! This is a contract position with guaranteed hours , offering an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to contribute to patient care in a hospital setting. The role offers rotating shifts and a chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in all aspects of drug packaging, preparation, and distribution, while ensuring medication availability and accuracy for patient care. This role is ideal for individuals with Experience in Hospital experience, and a desire to contribute to a patient-centered healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists with drug packaging, preparation, and distribution.
  • Refill Pyxis (medication dispensing system) and deliver medications to patient care areas.
  • Repackage bulk medications into unit doses.
  • Refill code trays and support central pharmacy coverage.
  • Provide training to new hires and temporary staff.
  • Support triage functions and ensure efficient medication handling throughout the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and medication protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with inventory management.
  • Adhere to all hospital and regulatory policies to ensure patient confidentiality and quality of care.
  • Provide coverage for other areas as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum high school diploma required.
  • Certification: Current PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification.
  • Licensing: Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, including 1 year in a hospital setting.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends as required.
