About the Role

Are you skilled with preparing pharmaceutical formulations? Are ready to make an impact in a dynamic preclinical environment? At our company, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our team. As a Histology Technician, you'll play a crucial role in our quest for excellence. Primary responsibilities include performing basic test and control article formulation, dose preparation and dispensing. Also responsible for receiving test and control article materials and maintaining chain of custody documentation associated with test and control materials, including inventory control.

What You’ll Do Here

• Prepare, sample, and dispense less complex dose formulations including solutions and suspensions

• Prepare, sample, and dispense more complex dose formulations including solutions and suspensions with guidance

• Receive test materials, reagents, review, and reconcile test material receipt

• Participate in disposition of formulation and test materials

• Document and review raw data accurately while preparing and maintaining study notebooks

• Reviews protocols and provides formulation comments

• Prepare and ship materials as needed

• Replenish supplies and maintains cleanliness of the laboratory and equipment

• May assist in study finalization and inventory of test materials in dispense

• May cross train to support pharmacy operations, i.e., dispense controlled substances

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• BS in a scientific discipline or relevant work experience

• Experience working in a regulated environment with animals in research or a regulated environment preferred

• Basic computer experience including Microsoft Office suite

• English proficiency required to read and interpret documents such as industry specific documents

• Basic math skills

• Solid reasoning abilities

• Able to operate laboratory equipment

• Work with a diverse group of people in a fast-paced environment

• Work cross functionally on process improvements

• Demonstrate attention to detail while multi-tasking and maintain organization in a fast paced, changing environment

• Able to manage change

• Readily adapts to new projects

• Positive attitude toward work and co-workers

• Comfortable communicating with all levels of management and employees

• Identify and resolve problems as they are encountered
