The Driscoll Health System in Corpus Christi, Texas is recruiting a Board Certified / Board Eligible Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist. Qualified candidates will work in a team of 4 Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologists. The Heart Center at Driscoll Children's Hospital is under rapid expansion with the new opening of state-of-the-art CV operating rooms, a cardiac catheterization suite, and a 35-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit. The ideal applicant, MD/ DO, will have completed a Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship in an ACGME accredited program and must be ABA board certified. The pediatric cardiovascular anesthesia division at the Driscoll Children’s Hospital Heart Center covers all congenital cardiac patients for cardiac-based procedures both in the OR and the cardiac catheterization lab. We also cover most of the congenital cardiac patients when they present for non-cardiac surgery. In 2023 we had 544 Cardiac admissions to the PICU and 193 CV surgical cases.
