  • Grassroots Leadership Development:
    • Identify and support local leaders, helping them establish and sustain grassroots groups.
    • Facilitate training programs and workshops for volunteers on organizing tactics and campaign strategies.
  • Event Coordination:
    • Assist in planning and executing organizing events, including virtual and in-person town halls, strategy sessions, and fundraisers.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide logistical support for organizing efforts, including managing schedules, preparing materials, and tracking key metrics.
    • Draft communications, including emails, flyers, and press materials, to engage volunteers and allies.

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to Progressive Values:
    • Strong passion for economic, racial, environmental, and social justice.
  • Organizing Experience (Preferred):
    • At least 1 year of grassroots organizing, labor organizing, political campaign experience, or relevant volunteer work.
  • Strong Communication Skills:
    • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, both in writing and verbally.
    • Comfortable with public speaking and facilitating group discussions.
  • Tech Proficiency:
    • Familiarity with digital organizing tools (e.g., NGP VAN, Mobilize, Action Network, Zoom).
    • Experience with social media platforms, email systems, and data entry tools is a plus.
