Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring multiple types and vintages of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems.
• Document all maintenance actions and record all alarm activity in the tracking database (AMMS).
• Contact and assist Regional Communications Centers when required.
• Dispatch internal resources (Engineers, System Techs, IT)
• Dispatch vendors (HVAC, Generators, etc.) as required to keep systems operationally ready to support first responders.
• Dispatch and coordinate circuit repairs (telco)
• Generate and complete preventative maintenance tasks and documentation.
• Process and follow up on single user issues.
• Work first, second or third shifts as required.
• Provide technical support

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or 3 years' experience in a similar position.
• Previous experience in a call center, NOC or Technical Assistance Center (TAC) environment preferred.
• Understanding of telecommunications technologies such as LMR trunking, networks, transport and digital transmission theory (TDMA, FSK and ADPCM).
• Networking principles knowledge.
• Advanced computer skills, well beyond basic with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, & Outlook).
• Computer Operating system knowledge (Windows, UNIX).
• Ability to successfully complete an FDLE background check.
