Network Architect New York to $350,000

Leading systematic trading firm is seeking a highly skilled Network Architect to take a lead role in their New York operation.

As a Network Architect you will design and implement network architectures for new data centers and colocations, collaborating with business stakeholders to identify requirements and network features / capabilities. You'll remain hands-on, taking ownership of projects and seeing them through to delivery, driving the use of automation and designing networks with security at their core. You will document and simplify the network design to limit outages and ensure maximum optimization, introducing new technologies to cope with AI and Machine Learning product capabilities.

With fantastic offices based in New York, you will be part of a flat structured and open company that offer a great working environment. About you:

• You are an experienced Network Architect with strong Network Design skills
• You have a deep knowledge of the TCP/IP stack, routing technologies such as BGP, OSPF, PIM-SM and are skilled at troubleshooting transport protocols (TCP / UDP)
• You have strong programming skills in an OO language (e.g. Python, Java, Golang, C++) and are an advocate of automation
• You're up to date with modern network tooling and technology such as CoreWeave
• You have multi-vendor network experience e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto
• You're naturally curious and enjoy learning and critical thinking
• You're able to prioritise, manage your own workload and keep an eye on the teams' roadmap and long term objectives
• You have achieved a 2.1 or above from a top tier university (Ivy League) in a relevant discipline, Computer Science preferred and hold networking certifications
• You are a US citizen or hold a valid work permit
