Meter Reader – Entry-Level Field Opportunity (2 Openings)

Moore, OK

12-Month Contract | Mon–Fri, 8 AM – 5 PM

Pay: $17/hr

Looking for a hands-on role that gets you out of the office and into the field? We’re hiring Meter Readers to support utility operations in the Moore, OK area. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being active, working outdoors, and contributing to essential services that power local communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Read utility meters manually or with automated equipment across assigned routes
• Inspect meters for damage, tampering, or access issues
• Record and verify usage data, flag irregular readings, and escalate as needed
• Clean, access, and troubleshoot buried or obstructed meters
• Turn service on/off based on utility orders
• Maintain a clean work vehicle and support general field operations

What You’ll Need

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Comfort with physical tasks like lifting meter lids or navigating uneven terrain
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills
• A team-oriented mindset and willingness to take on new responsibilities

Preferred Experience

• 1+ year in a hands-on, field-based, or utility-related role
• Familiarity with meter reading tools or mobile work equipment
