Job Title: Medical Scribe

Position Overview: As a Medical Scribe, you will play a crucial role in supporting patient care by documenting medical encounters in real-time alongside a healthcare provider. Your role will help enhance the efficiency of the healthcare team, ensuring accurate and timely records are maintained. Training is provided to all new scribes to ensure they are well-prepared to assist their assigned provider(s).

Compensation:

$11/hour for those with no prior scribe experience
$12/hour for those with 6+ months of scribe experience
$14-17/hour for Lead Scribes (1+ year of scribe experience required)
Additional $1/hour for fluent Spanish-speaking candidates
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare patient charts according to clinic protocol.
Accompany healthcare providers during scheduled patient visits.
Accurately document patient histories, physical exams, procedures, and treatment plans as directed by the provider.
Support the provider in ensuring quality metrics are met by documenting relevant details.
Record laboratory and radiology results as ordered by the provider.
Enter medication orders as directed by the provider.
Provide printed instructions for patients after visits.
Review and update completed charts with the provider during patient transitions or at the end of the shift.
Maintain up-to-date provider preferences and clinic documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency with computers and the ability to quickly learn new software.
Preferred background in healthcare (e.g., pre-med, pre-PA, pre-nursing).
Bachelor's degree preferred, with a GPA of 3.00 or greater.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
If no college degree, 3+ years of full-time work experience strongly preferred.
Typing speed of at least 60 WPM required; some positions may require 80 WPM.
Full-time availability (Monday-Friday) is required.
Spanish-speaking candidates are eligible for higher pay.
