Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This contract opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

  • Assists nursing staff in obtaining vital signs, weight checks, and general patient comfort needs; prepares patients for physical examinations and medical procedures.
  • Restocks rooms and supply areas, transports patients, and helps move them from stretchers and wheelchairs as needed.
  • Registers patients, answers phones, prepares charts, performs charge entry, and verifies patient test requests and billing information.
  • Collects blood and other samples, ensuring they are identified and labeled according to authorized procedures; prepares specimens for transport to the lab.
  • Operates, calibrates, and maintains laboratory equipment, complying with all hospital, laboratory policies, and safety standards, while maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a recognized training program for medical assistants or an equivalent combination of education and experience which includes phlebotomy training.
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification

Job Type: Contract

Schedule: 5x8– Days – 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM

Pay Range: $21/ hour-$22/ hour

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
