Mechanical Superintendent – Houston, TX

Are you a Mechanical Superintendent with a strong background in HVAC, Plumbing, Service, Sheet Metal, Industrial, Controls, and Medical projects ? A leading Mechanical Subcontractor in Houston is looking for an experienced professional to oversee field operations and drive project success.

About the Role:

As a Mechanical Superintendent , you will be responsible for managing the installation of MEP, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems across a variety of commercial and industrial projects. You will oversee job site operations, ensure quality and safety compliance, and collaborate with project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise field teams in the installation of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Plan and coordinate project schedules, manpower, and material deliveries
  • Ensure all installations meet quality standards, specifications, and local building codes
  • Enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system issues to keep projects on track
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align project goals
  • Monitor project progress and prepare reports on job site performance
  • Oversee subcontractor work and ensure alignment with project scope and specifications
  • Train and mentor field staff to enhance productivity and skill development
  • Manage change orders and adapt plans as needed to address unforeseen project challenges
  • Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, inspections, and punch lists

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Superintendent
  • Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, service, sheet metal, and industrial systems
  • Experience with new construction, remodels/renovations, and medical projects
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple teams and subcontractors effectively
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and local building codes
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications
