Job Description

BRG Marketing Manager Job Description:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for promoting all BRG brands to new customers and maintaining a relationship with existing customers. The duties include developing advertising campaigns, maximizing profits, and maintaining strong public relations and brand image.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions: 

Marketing Strategy and Implementation

  • Develop and present quarterly marketing plans for each restaurant, focusing on in-restaurant programming, promotions, discounts, social campaigns, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with restaurant teams to execute approved strategies by creating timelines, coordinating collateral with the graphic designer, and ensuring proper execution across digital marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with Eunice PR team through monthly team calls, monthly photoshoots, and regular communication to ensure promotions and current information is being promoted and maintained

Social Media Management

  • Oversee all content creation social media strategy development, posting, and engagement done by Digital Marketing Coordinator

Advertising and Content Management

  • Oversee all advertising efforts, including print campaigns, social media, Google, and Toast-based digital advertising.
  • Coordinate photoshoots and content creation for each restaurant and manage the content database in Google Drive.

Promotional and Operational Collaboration

  • Oversee the creation of promotional materials and menu design.
  • Manage contracts related to advertising and partnerships.
  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns, collaborating with external graphic designer and monitoring their success.

Event Coordination

  • Manage and coordinate events with the sales and catering team, including special events tied to Saints season, Mardi Gras, holidays, and unique New Orleans occasions.

Budget Management

  • Maintain and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking ROI on initiatives.

Brand Development and Long-Term Growth

  • Collaborate with ownership to develop new restaurant concepts, focusing on branding and brand voice to align with their vision.
  • Support ownership in shaping the long-term direction and growth of the company.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Collaborating with external partners such as photographers, influencers, and advertising partners.
  • Work closely with chefs and restaurant management to align marketing strategies with operational goals.

Operational and Guest-Focused Support

  • Maintain and update business hours on online platforms, including holiday and special event adjustments.
  • Optimize the OpenTable reservation system to maximize seating availability and guest experience.
  • Utilize operational platforms (Toast, OpenTable, UberEats) to promote specials, communicate with guests, and run targeted promotions.
  • Oversee all holiday menu deadlines and submissions
  • Oversee holiday catering setup, launch, and promotion

Requirements:

  • Marketing and/or Communications degree or equivalent restaurant chef degree is preferred. 
  • Project planning, prioritization, data analysis, computer skills
  • Minimum of 5 years experience 
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of computers. Knowledge of industry specific programs such as Toast, Open Table, etc.
  • Familiarity with internet programs such as Google
  • Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant operations
  • Basic math and computer/tablet skills.
  • Ability to stay professional in a stressful work environment. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a professional manner.
  • Superb multitasking skills and an eye for detail.
  • Available to work different hours including weekends, days, nights, and holidays.
  • Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
  • Ability to uphold company standards relating to appearance and dress.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong task and time management abilities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods (eight or more hours). Able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight up to 50 lbs. Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to eight hours per day. Able to reach above head and shoulder levels. Able to twist, kneel, bend and crawl. Able to squat and crouch. Able to perform sweeping motion, front-to-back and side-to-side. Able to work in confined spaces. Able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals. Able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Manual dexterity
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes meeting quality standards and company standard policies and procedures.
  • Able to listen and follow instructions, work unsupervised, and adapt to changing situations.
  • Displays integrity and honesty and maintains a positive attitude towards managers, co-workers, guests and visitors.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling business related issues in a fast paced environment
