Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a Contract job with a client in Normal, IL (Onsite). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the hands-on equipment maintenance/repair technician role that requires technical knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems, with a focus on lab/test devices and safety compliance.

Rate Range: $22/hour to $28/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on lab test equipment.

• This includes but is not limited to: observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machine tools.
• Identify and source parts, supplies and repair items as necessary.
• Independently perform maintenance as per industry standards
• Understand electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs.
• Utilize standard hand tools as well as simple diagnostic tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.
• Ability to work in tight spaces.
• Comply with 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Follow all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
• Experience in a test environment is a plus.
• Experience working around lithium ion batteries is a plus.
