Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor – 2nd Shift
Location: Chambersburg, PA
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, Tuesday-Saturday | 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead and develop a team of skilled technicians responsible for maintaining and repairing bakery production and packaging equipment. This position ensures reliable plant operation by coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities while promoting a culture of personal safety, food safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead maintenance technicians across 2nd shift operations.
Plan, assign, and monitor work orders for equipment maintenance and repairs.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
Train, coach, and develop team members while enforcing company policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues.
Manage small industrial projects, including planning, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
Ensure maintenance areas, tools, and parts rooms remain organized and safe.
Maintain detailed maintenance and compliance records.
Promote adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety protocols, and food safety standards.
Participate in onboarding and technical training of new team members.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 4 years of industrial maintenance experience.
At least 2 years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
Experience with bakery, food, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and CMMS tools.
Other Requirements:
Ability to operate forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift.
Comfortable working at elevated heights.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
