Load Planner - Jacko Logistics

Jacko Logistics is a rapidly growing, fast-paced logistics company. We specialize in dry van freight across the Western 11 states. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Load Planner to join our team. If you are an experienced Load Planner, we want to hear from you!

As a Load Planner at Jacko Logistics, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of freight. You will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing loads, maintaining excellent relationships and customers, and contributing to the overall success of our operations. This role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Customer KPIs : Daily dialogue with customers in your zone. Solve any problems the customer brings to your attention/forecast any potential problems for customers.
  • Monitor Shipments: Track cargo during transit to ensure on-time delivery and address any issues that may arise.
  • Trailer Pools: Maintain adequate trailer pools for all customers based on their requirements
  • Forecasting: Daily/weekly balancing of truck load ratio and ensure we are never under booked out of your zone
  • Freight Network Improvements: work with sales and management to ensure there are no gaps in the freight network

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Load Planner with experience using logistics software like McLeod.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships through effective communication and timely problem-solving.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining data accuracy and operational compliance.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to set daily schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Capable of evaluating truck-to-load ratios, forecasting demand, and addressing operational inefficiencies.
  • Multi-tasking: Strong multitasking skills are essential for this role. Success requires staying organized, maintaining attention to detail, and implementing structured processes for each task rather than simply reacting to daily challenges.
