A highly regarded, multi-office, national defense firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Partner with Portable Business to join their Birmingham, AL office. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with a substantial book of business to leverage the firm's expansive platform and business opportunities while enjoying flexibility and autonomy.

Responsibilities:

• Provide client communication and advice as it relates to litigation risks and outcomes, legal rights and obligations, etc.
• Drafting initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, discovery, discovery responses, and motions for summary judgement.
• Regularly attend court appearances and trials.
• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
• Perform other duties pertaining to ongoing cases and legal matters.
• Oversee and manage entire Birmingham office.

Ideal Candidate:

• Seeking heavy trial experience; medical malpractice, insurance defense, and other civil litigation practice areas.
• Admitted to practice and in good standing in the State of New M

Qualifications:

• Significant defense litigation experience.
• Admitted and in good standing in the State of Alabama.
• Self-sufficient book of portable business (ideally $200,000+).
• Ability to collaborate with a national team and provide strategic counsel.
• Expertise in employment-related regulatory compliance, policy drafting, and workplace litigation.
