Job Description

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join a great Texas-based firm. The ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree or a 2-year program completion from an ABA-approved paralegal school, along with 3+ years of experience in personal injury litigation. Proficiency in eDiscovery, Westlaw, and Court Alert or other docketing systems is required. Familiarity with Case Logistix and Disco is a plus. Candidates must be adept at managing large volumes of personal injury cases and document production and review. Trial experience in both state and federal courts is preferred. This opportunity is direct hire, full time, and hybrid after 90-days.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage calendar and assist in meeting deadlines
• Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and discovery
• Complete filings on Pacer and Filetime
• Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources providing a written analysis for attorneys
• Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements
• Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation; attend trials and hearings as needed
• Develop and maintain records of billable hours spent on specific cases
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• 4-year college degree or 2-year Paralegal certificate required
• Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings, and processes
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and docketing systems, required; familiarity with Case Logistix and Disco, preferred
