Job Description

A Midland based O&G company is seeking a Landman to join their talented team. The right candidate is likely to have Land experience in an exploration environment. Experience in New Mexico - Permian is highly desirable.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify and assess land acquisition and operating rights opportunities.
• Ensure timely clearing of titles for an active drilling program.
• Negotiate and draft land-related agreements such as joint operating agreements, farm-ins, farm-outs, and more.
• Work with land administration to maintain accurate records.
• Stay informed on industry regulations, trends, and land values.
• Collaborate with the legal team to resolve damages related to drilling activities.
• Provide input on asset acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic decisions.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelors in Land/Energy Management or related field.
• 5+ years' commercial experience as Landman in O&G operator.
• Experience with both unconventional and conventional resource plays.
• Proven experience across negotiation, research and analysis.
• RPL or CPL a plus.

The client is looking for the right candidate to be based in Midland as this would be an on-site position. Interviews are commencing from later this week with the view of the right candidate getting started as soon as possible.
