Job Posting – Lab Support Professional (Contract)

📄 Contract: 12 months

💵 Pay Rate: $23–26 per hour

Overview:

We are seeking a Lab Support Professional (Lab Technician I) to join our team in support of the Assay Development R&D Labs at the Glasgow site. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth laboratory operations through effective goods receiving, glassware washing, and supply monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

Goods Receiving (50%)

• Manage goods receiving process using SAP (reverse and partial receipt, block invoices).
• Track orders and shipment status, ensuring timely updates to stakeholders.
• Deliver received materials to labs and offices across the site.
• Communicate any delays or issues in deliveries to colleagues.

Glassware Washing (40%)

• Collect and clean used lab glassware from designated areas.
• Operate and maintain commercial glassware dishwashers, drying ovens, and steam sanitizers.
• Ensure all glassware is cleaned, sanitized, and ready for lab use.

Supply Monitoring (10%)

• Track general office and lab supply inventory.
• Notify buyers of replenishment needs to avoid shortages.

Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP for goods receiving preferred.
• Prior lab support, facilities, or materials handling experience a plus.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment (dishwashers, ovens, sanitizers).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
