Tuk Took Bites is Denver based Indian Food Concept founded in 2021 that is serving authentic, fresh and healthy Indian Meals to people in Colorado and slowly expanding to neighboring states. We started out of community kitchen, worked our way to a food truck, and are working on expanding our concept nationally.
Our name is inspired by 3 wheel tuk tuks found in India and South East Asia. They are often reffered to as rickshaws. Our Brand is built around the vibrant, transparent, colorful, and joyful expereince of riding a tuk tuk while providng a value of your buck. We try to keep our recipes flavors to the heart of the America as well as the passion from India. We are passionate about combining bold spices, rich traditions,
and fresh ingredients to deliver unforgettable meals on wheels.
Position OverviewWe are hiring a Junior Sous Chef with a solid career trajectory to assist in daily curry sauce prep and operations. Prior experience in Indian Cooking is not required but prior experience as sous chef is preffered for any cuisine (italian to mexican)
operations.

This role is ideal for someone who has graduated from a culinary school or has
substantial professional kitchen experience—especially in sauce or curry cooking. You’ll
collaborate closely with our Lead Sous Chef as well as Head Chef and take full charge when they’re not present, ensuring daily operations run smoothly. We plan to hire 1-2 junior chefs for you to train
Responsibilities Act as second-in-command in the kitchen; lead Tikka Masala, Buttery Makhani, Vindaloo, Veg Curry, Chana Masala Curry sauce preparation and train to work up to full time sous chef on stafff
Supervise and train kitchen team members, maintaining professionalism and high
morale in a compact, fast-paced environment.
Uphold consistent quality in taste, presentation, and hygiene.
Support inventory management and ordering of ingredients.
Uphold food safety, hygiene standards, and overall quality control across all prep and
service operations.
Adapt recipes and methods to meet dietary restrictions, portion requirements,and
service timelines.
Train new staff and foster a positive, high-performance kitchen culture
Requirements:Prior experience (minimum 2 years) in an Indian kitchen or commercial food setting OR a diploma/degree from a recognized culinary school.
Strong knowledge of Indian regional cuisines, spices, and cooking techniques (lot of onion chopping)
Experience handling and cooking of meats such as chicken, lamb and fish
Ability to thrive in a high-speed food truck environment.
Leadership skills, strong communication, and a team-first attitude.
U.S. work authorization is required
