Job Description

Major, Lindsey & Africa's Talent Group is seeking an Immigration Attorney to provide legal counsel and representation to clients in employment-based immigration matters. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload, and outstanding communication skills for effective client and visa beneficiary interactions. This is a full-time, HYBRID position requiring 40 hours per week for a duration of 4+ months.

Overview: Our client is looking for a Business Immigration Associate with experience in employment-based immigration law, proven expertise in USCIS petitions and applications, and strong attention to detail. The role requires managing a high-volume caseload independently and excellent communication skills.

Experience: Over five (5+) years of experience providing legal counsel and representation in employment-based immigration matters, drafting and reviewing legal documents ensuring compliance with USCIS, DOL, and consular requirements, and conducting legal research to stay current on immigration laws and policies.

Location: HYBRID – DC or Miami

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in employment-based immigration matters, including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, PERM, I-140, I-526E, and I-485 applications.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including petitions, support letters, and application packages, ensuring compliance with USCIS, DOL, and consular requirements.
  • Conduct legal research and stay current on immigration laws, regulations, and policies to provide accurate and timely advice to clients.
  • Manage a high-volume caseload, ensuring timely filing of petitions and applications, including responses to Requests for Evidence (RFE) and audits.
  • Maintain direct communication with clients and visa beneficiaries, providing regular updates on case progress and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative staff to ensure a coordinated approach to client service.
  • Participate in business development activities, including client presentations, seminars, and networking events to promote the firm's immigration practice.

Qualifications Include:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with employment-based immigration.
  • Bilingual communication skills a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours if a business need arises.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of assigned matters from start to finish.

Pay rate: $110.00 to $120.00
