Job Description

We are partnered with a national client seeking an Insurance Claims & Coverage Counsel with 3+ years of experience in insurance law. This is a full-time position that will operate on a fully remote basis. This role offers the opportunity to operate as a key advisor to clients and carriers on complex insurance claims and risk exposure, particularly in the areas of professional liability, employment practices liability, general liability, D&O, and other specialty lines.

• Handle coverage issues and disputes arising under professional liability, employment liability, general liability, and directors & officers insurance policies.
• Manage complex claims from notification through resolution.
• Draft reservation of rights letters, coverage opinions, and denial letters.
• Develop and implement effective claim resolution and litigation strategies

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law with a focus on insurance coverage or claims management.
• JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Active license to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience drafting coverage letters, legal opinions, and risk evaluations
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills

The estimated salary range for this position is $145,000 - $195,000 and will vary depending on candidate experience level and location.
