Job Description

Our client in Avenel, NJ, is looking for an Import Data Entry Clerk for a direct hire position.

This is a 37.5-hour work week. Mon-Thurs 9 am - 5.30 pm & Fri 9 am - 3 pm

Salary: $40,000 annually

• Person will be p reparing shipping documents for all incoming shipments, air, ocean, to East Coast and West Coast:
• Send packing list and ship advice to all warehouse coordinators before shipment arrival, East Coast, and West Coast.
• Send shipping documents to the customs broker for entry, and address all shipment details in an email to the broker.
• Contact overseas factories to update shipping documents when incorrect information is found on them.
• Do costing sheets for all company shipments and process broker invoices, freight invoices etc.
• Check all customs entry documents and ask broker to file PSC if broker makes mistakes on entry.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work in the office 5 days a week.
• Must have extensive import experience.
• Must be extremely detailed and be familiar with imports, shipping docs and purchase orders.
