Partners for World Health is seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as the Hospital Network Relations Manager . In this part-time role, you will oversee a team of volunteer ambassadors and lead efforts to engage hospitals across Massachusetts and wider New England in the collection of medical supplies and equipment. The Hospital Network Relations Manager will be actively involved in building relationships with hospitals, particularly at the unit level, to engage charge nurses and other healthcare staff in the collection process. This position requires travel to various hospital sites across Massachusetts and wider New England, where you will foster relationships and promote the program’s value to healthcare staff.
Key Responsibilities● Hospital Engagement (70% of time)
○ Visit hospital units (e.g., ICU, ER, surgical) and meet with charge nurses and other healthcare staff to promote the medical supplies collection program.
○ Cultivate relationships with hospital staff to encourage their active involvement in the collection of unused medical equipment and supplies.
○ Create and implement strategies to increase hospital unit participation, both in terms of interest and actual collection efforts.
○ Assist hospitals in setting up collection systems and ensuring that equipment and supplies are donated in an organized and efficient manner.
● Leadership & Coordination (10%)
○ Lead and support a team of volunteer ambassadors who assist in the advancement of collections of medical supplies and equipment.
○ Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to ambassadors, ensuring they are informed about collection protocols and best practices.
○ Schedule and manage regular volunteer shifts and activities to ensure successful collection drives.
● Advancement in Massachusetts (10%)
○ Continuously identify people located in Massachusetts who could be interested in supporting PWH and introduce them to the Advancement team.
○ Assist the Advancement team in activities that raise awareness about Partners for World Health in Massachusetts.
● Communication & Reporting (5%)
○ Maintain clear and consistent communication with the nonprofit’s leadership team regarding the status of volunteer efforts and hospital partnerships.
○ Provide a weekly report on the progress of hospital engagement and the volunteer activities and to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
○ Provide feedback and recommendations for improving the ambassador program and hospital partnerships.
● Event Coordination & Outreach (5%)
○ Represent the organization at industry events, providing information about the program, engaging potential donors, and increasing awareness of the initiative.
○ Coordinate logistics for events, including setting up and managing the booth, ensuring promotional materials are available, and engaging with attendees to build interest in the program.
○ Plan and coordinate collection events in collaboration with hospitals and volunteer teams.
Qualifications● Experience in the healthcare sector required (RN or similar).
● Proven experience in volunteer coordination, community outreach, or program management, preferably in a nonprofit or healthcare-related field.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders (hospital staff, volunteers, etc.).
● Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing and motivating a team.
● Ability to travel to various hospitals and healthcare facilities in Massachusetts and Maine.
● A passion for supporting healthcare communities and making a meaningful impact on patient care
This is a part-time position requiring approximately 24 hours per week. The role offers flexible scheduling, but is primarily within normal business hours. Some evening and weekend hours may be needed for events. Travel in Massachusetts and other areas of New England is required and will be reimbursed. Compensation is based on experience.
