Are you a seasoned Safety Professional looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity to apply your expertise and make a lasting impact?

We are seeking a part-time Health and Safety Manager to oversee the safety operations of our field-based activities. This role offers approximately 10 hours a week with a focus on ensuring regulatory compliance, managing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing ongoing safety training. You will collaborate closely with our administrative team, who play a key role in supporting safety initiatives by managing databases, tracking safety metrics, and assisting with data reporting.

This is a great opportunity for someone eager to share their expertise in fostering a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage existing safety programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and ensure alignment with OSHA standards.
  • Oversee safety training to ensure all team members and contractors are adequately certified and trained.
  • Lead incident investigations with thorough documentation, collaborating on corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Provide safety oversight for field operations to ensure compliance with customer contracts.
  • Develop and manage emergency response plans, including planning and executing safety drills.
  • Coordinating with administrative staff to track, analyze, and report safety statistics, incidents, audits, and training results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address safety concerns, fostering a proactive safety culture.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in safety program management, ideally in field-based environments (e.g., construction, consulting).
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards.
  • Professional certifications (CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, CIH) are a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with a strong ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to adjust work hours to meet business requirements and priorities.
  • Ability to comply with company drug screening, including pre-employment tests.
  • Valid driver’s license with the flexibility to travel locally and occasionally out of state.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $40.00 - $60.00, with actual compensation based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
