Job Description

We are located at 320 Carleton Ave #6000, Central Islip, NY 11722

University Sports Publications is looking for a full-time Graphic Designer to join our growing editorial team. This entry-level/mid-level role involves designing industry-focused marketing periodicals and sports publications, contributing to new projects, and maintaining brand consistency across publications. We are seeking a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to be involved in the full creative process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain consistent brand standards across multiple publications.
  • Create compelling layouts, graphics, and illustrations.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborate effectively with design, editorial, and art teams.
  • Edit and proof layouts for accuracy and consistency.
  • Oversee the full publication process, from concept to final production.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign CC, Illustrator CC, Photoshop CC, Bridge, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, and color.
  • Knowledge of print production and prepress processes.
  • Familiarity with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present and justify design concepts confidently.

Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (additional hours as needed to meet deadlines)
