Position Overview

The Graphic Designer is responsible for pre-production for both print and digital projects, email, site planning and social creative. They will be responsible for designing, updating, proofing and releasing assets. Candidates should be driven, self-motivated with very strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and have the ability to multi-task, manage their time efficiently and work well within the team and cross-functionally.

Please note, this position is based full-time in our Knoxville, TN area Home Office.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with creative director, art directors, designers, copywriters, and brand managers to create seasonal marketing assets – both digital and print.
  • Adapt quickly and maintain accuracy through frequent updates and promotional changes
  • Partner with the photo studio to request image assets, submit shoot and retouch requests
  • Work closely with Marketing Team to design digital CRM, advertising materials, internal communications.
  • Research current design and graphics trends in fashion, social media, and marketing and how these apply to our brands.
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
  • Experience in retail, design studio, agency or freelance (Retail experience is a plus)
  • Proficient in Mac applications: Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management & planning skills
  • A portfolio demonstrating a passion for digital design and a mastery of online visual communication
  • Collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines
  • Passion for retail and knowledge of Arula and the Altar’d State family of brands.
  • Highly collaborative & deadline oriented
