About the Company : Stoops Freightliner-Western Star, one of the largest Freightliner dealerships in the Midwest, has an opportunity for a General Manager. Stoops provides quality trucks, service and parts in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. About the Role : The General Manager will oversee all operations and activities at our Lima, OH and Wapakoneta, OH dealerships, ensuring the highest level of service and performance.

Responsibilities :

• Establish and maintain practices designed to hire, lead, manage, train, develop, motivate, and recognize employees.
• Oversee all operations and activities at our Lima, OH and Wapakoneta, OH dealerships to include sales, service, parts, body shop, and financing.
• Serve as new truck sales manager with the assistance of our corporate fleet sales manager, while also meeting used truck sales goals with the assistance of our corporate used truck manager.
• Ability to conduct meaningful employee performance reviews and develop specific, measurable, actionable, realistic, and tangible objectives/goals for all dealership sales and management personnel.
• Work effectively with customers, vendors, and other employees to attain required business outcomes and goals.
• Leverage the use of Salesforce CRM to add structure, set expectations and deliver accountability.
• Create and prepare budgets, maintain, and exceed financial goals for the dealership.
• Assess and analyze the competition, market conditions, trends, and profit opportunities within the Dealership's assigned area of responsibility.

Qualifications :

• Must be willing to relocate to the Lima, OH area.
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.), preferred, but not required.
• Thorough knowledge of heavy and medium duty truck industry and products.
• Minimum 5 years of truck dealership or sales management experience preferred.

Required Skills :

• Strong leadership, organizational, strategic planning, and communication skills.
• Understands the principles of marketing, customer service, and administration.
• Proficient with computer software, including Microsoft Excel and Office.
