Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking dependable General Laborers to support our construction teams with a variety of essential job site tasks. This position plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Candidates must be physically capable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions from supervisors and skilled trades personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Preparation & Clean-Up: Clear debris, remove hazards, prepare job sites, and maintain a clean and organized environment throughout and after the workday.
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist Tradespeople: Support skilled workers such as carpenters, plumbers, and electricians with various job site activities.
  • Tool & Equipment Operation: Use hand tools (e.g., hammers, drills, saws) and light power equipment as needed.
  • Demolition Work: Assist with the removal of existing structures and materials in preparation for new construction.
  • General Labor Tasks: Perform physically intensive work such as digging, trenching, backfilling, demolition, mixing concrete, and hauling materials.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, and report any hazards or incidents promptly.
  • Task Execution: Understand and carry out instructions provided by supervisors and lead tradespeople.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and perform physically demanding work (standing, bending, stooping, kneeling) throughout the shift.
  • Basic knowledge of construction tools, materials, and practices.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and willingness to follow them at all times.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail on the job site.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
